Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field (preferred)
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design skills
- Experience with sketching, draping, and pattern making
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar design software (a plus)
- Excellent understanding of fabrics, trims, and construction techniques
- Keen eye for detail and a strong sense of style
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify current trends, fabrics, and styles.
- Develop and present mood boards and design concepts.
- Sketch designs by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Source and select fabrics, trims, and notions.
- Develop product specifications and technical details.
- Create and oversee the creation of sample garments.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure garments meet quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest fashion trends and industry developments.
