Account Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that funds are utilised and managed according to the budget appropriations and that the allocation of expenditure is appropriate.
  • Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions and are kept up to date with the latest transactions and changes.
  • Shall ensure and maintain day to day financial transactions.
  • Shall ensure preparation of General Ledger (GL) Accounts and ensure all transactions have been accurately recorded.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up with clients or customers for outstanding payments. Prepare and send invoices and statements as needed.
  • Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and making timely payments. Maintain relationships with suppliers and address any payment inquiries.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the finance department to achieve departmental goals. Communicate effectively with other departments and external stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Management of all Inventory for the Project.
  • Any other duty assigned.
